I'm new to genealogy and I cannot find the siblings of Patrick John Ryan son of Jeremiah and Mary Ryan of Cloneyharp. He was a priest in St.Louis and Philadelphia in the late 1800s. They were all listed as being born in Cloneyharp; Jeremiah in 1800, Mary in 1805 and Patriack in 1830. I believe it is in Cashel & Emly Diocese. Patrick's great nephew was my brother's father,John Patrick Ryan. Any help would be much appreciated. m IP: Logged |

Cloneyharp means the meadow of the O'Torpeys and is located beside the Cross of the Hough. Its in the middle of nowhere between Holycross and Clonoulty. The name Ryan is ultra common here and unless you know their nickname, i.e Ryan Roady, Ryan Cooper etc you may not be able to find them. Regards. Tom. IP: Logged |

I am looking to link my Ryan family to Archbishop Patrick Ryan. I believe his cousin may be Lawrence Ryan. I have a record for a John P. Ryan, son of Daniel and Anna Ryan. Would this be who you are looking for? I look forward to hearing from you.

You may have already seen this but Patrick Ryan originally from Thurles and a relative of Archbishop Patrick J Ryan has just published a book on the Archbishop. You may find it of interest - see www.thurlesbooks.com Clare IP: Logged |
