I am working on developing an on-line history and geography of Annaghdown Parish. I am collecting information in realtion to this. I have put up a page on each townland in the parish and I am now concentrating on getting pictures and historical information on this. I dont have the irish name or the meaning of each townland. This following is a link to all the townlands. Below also is a list of the names of the townlands.

A website which provides the official Irish language names of almost 100,000 towns, streets and post offices throughout the country has been officially launched. The Bunachar Logainmneacha na hÉireann site, www.logainm.ie, is aimed at students, teachers, journalists, translators and others who need the authoritative Irish form of place names. The site is also designed to be of interest to people worldwide who want to know more about the heritage, culture and geography of Ireland.
