Hi Jennifer, I am trying to trace a John Og Devlin who came from Ardean. I think he would have been born around 1910. Have you come across any of the Og Devlins? Best wishes Mary IP: Logged |

I have a Rose(anna) (McCloskey) Devlin who immigrated to New York State from Ireland in 1868. I do not know the county. I believe her husband was already deceased when she came over. His name was John or Bernard Devlin. They had 7 children that traveled with their mother: Mary b. 1850 Hannah or Anne, b. 1852 Kata or Kate b 1854 Patrick b. 1856 Bernard b. 1858 John b. 1860 Ellen b. 1862 (All birthdates are approximate) They arrived in NYC and then went upstate to Cohoes, NY, and later Green Island, NY (Albany County). ------------------ IP: Logged |

Message for Jenny. My name is Seamus Devlin and I am from Aneeterbeg and my Dad was a fisherman on Lough Neagh and my brother still fishes on the lake. I have just returned to live in Ireland and I will ask around about your family - we are almost certainly related as Aneeterbeg is a very small area comprising only a few city blocks in size.
