Hello, I am doing my Archaeology dissertation on a site in Ireland. I was wondering if you know the meaning for Ballykean in Co Offaly?
Any help would be much appreciated, thankyou.

Baile Uí Chéin
Baile, this can mean a town, village, cluster of houses, townland, place, spot, homestead, enclosure, dwelling,
residence, habitation, patrimony, settlement or situation.
Uí-Chéin, O'Kane, Ó Céin, O'Keane or O’Kean, a family name.
Regards.
Tom.
