Can anyone please help me with the place name Malahan which has been transcribed on the 1911 census, I have tried to locate this place but have had no luck. I was led to believe that my family came from Cork and they where Farmers.

Can you post a link to the section on the census so we can have a look at the spelling please? You dont say where this Malahan is supposed to be in Ireland. If it is phonetic it could be Monaghan. The 1911 census is available online so if they emigrated there may have been some of their family still here at that time.
