A couple were married in County Armagh on 19 July 1893.

I wish I could upload a jpg file of the placename - but in the absence of that it LOOKS like:

CLONGhoge

I can't find a 'Clong' in Armagh to fit. Can anyone here give me a suggestion ?

Thank you
William

Cloghoge is in the parish of Ballymore in Armagh. Perhaps that is the place you seek? Have a look at it from a sattelite here;

There is another Cloghoge in the parish of Killevy.

Thanks, Tom

It must have been written as Cloughoge.

Your post opened the door. It seems I was trying to find the place in the parish of Killevy.

Thank you, again
William

William,

If you need a third option, there is another Cloghoge in Creggan civil parish, in the SW corner of Armagh. It's located about a mile N of Creggan village, and located on the OS Discovery map 36.

Thanks, Pete

It is definitely the suspect in the parish of Killevy, but it's good to know that there are real experts available when one hits a brick wall.
